WATCH US ON TV - Pinewood was featured on BBC on Wednesday 15th February, as part of a documentary called MY Life. This episode featured children from BeBold Charity - a charity that helps children who suffer from Alopecia. We have been involved with BeBold for 3 years now, and we are delighted to be able to offer our support. We have met some truly inspiring people and we are very much looking forward to this year's camp.

Pinewood Holiday Park is a small, family run site, ideally situated within walking distance of the town centre, approximately two miles, and there is pathway to follow all the way into the town. We are extremely lucky to be surrounded by glorious open countryside within the stunning Yorkshire Wolds, and yet so close to so many nearby attractions and places to visit.

We are a family run business and we pride ourselves on offering impeccable customer service. We have many, many customers who return year after year - but every customer, whether new or old, will always be greeted with a big Yorkshire smile!

Fantastic views over the countryside, with many lovely walks nearby.

We have 7 acres of land at Pinewood; consisting of a caravan area with 5 electric hook up pitches on hard standings, a tenting area with 14 pitches all with electric, a Western themed Tipi campround, a separate field, and a woodland area. We also have a very modern, clean, and spacious toilet and shower block.

Pinewood is split into 3 separate areas.

The touring caravan area has 5 caravan/camping pitches with metered electric hook ups and hard standings. 

The second area is our tenting field, which has 14 electric hook ups and 12 single and 2 double pitches.

The third area is a Western themed campground with a mix of authentic Indian Tipis, modern Tipis, Western Wagons and Cowboy Camping Cabins.

The toilet blocks, drinking water points, bin store, recycling centre, waste water and chemical waste disposal points are all centrally located for your convenience. 

Well behaved dogs are also very welcome; we do not charge any extra, but we do ask that they are kept on a lead at all times, and walked off site - next to our site is a brilliant dog walking path, with open countryside, and stunning views. 

We have very well spaced out pitches, to enjoy the quietness of our site.

'CAMP PINEWOOD' is a WildWest themed camp and there are 3 types of accommodation to choose from:

We have large canvas 'modern' Tipi tents; which have 1 central pole instead of 15 wooden poles. These are still very spacious, fully enclosed and are on wooden decks, with a picnic bench on the grass, with carpets, an electric fire and an electric point (metered), a full size faux brown leather futon and 2 faux brown leather cube chair/beds. These Tipis are great fun and very popular.

Cowboy Camping Shacks. These are made from wood, are double glazed and insulated, and have basic furnishings like our Tipis. They also have a large covered veranda with a rocking chair and table. These Camping cabins are perfect for all year round camping, as they are double glazed and insulated. These also have metered electric, a lamp and an electric heater.

Woody's Western Wagons. These are the smallest, cosiest and warmest accommodation. They are made from wood, and have a fixed double bed, 2 fixed single beds, lighting, heating, a kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave. you will need to bring your own bedding, as in all the accommodation, and the electric is also metered.

We introduced access to electric in our furnished Tipis, Wagons and Shacks because some guests have said that while they enjoy getting away from 'it all', and enjoying a new and different holiday experience, they would also like to have a couple of home comforts; like a lamp or a potable DVD player to quieten the kids down after a hectic day! And of course there's the hair straighteners that many guests just can't live without!! We feel that by offering the electric, we are giving our guests the choice, and by metering it, our guests pay for the electricity which they use - so we can continuing our 'green eco' ethics, as guests are careful not to leave electricity on unnecessarily. By doing this, we can also provide very reasonable Tipi holidays.
