We have 5 electric hook up points, all hard standings, set out over half an acre to accommodate caravans, campers, and motorhomes.

While we love children, we also realise that there are very few sites in the area that are adult only. We feel that by separating a small area for the over 21's only, while still having plenty of space for families, we are catering for more of our guests needs.

As our Tipi camp is fairly close by, there may be occasions at busy times where you may hear the children playing. What you will not experience though is children playing ball games or running around your caravan. It's sometimes a case of hearing but not seeing here at Pinewood!

Pinewood is open 365 days a year.

While this area is adults only; the newly refurbished central toilet and shower blocks are for the use of all customers on site.

Our tenting field is open for everyone to enjoy, and has 14 metered electric hook up points. In order to keep noise levels fairly low we try to keep our tent numbers to around 14. There are stunning views over The Yorkshire Wolds to be enjoyed.

Our tent pitches can only accommodate standard 3-4 man tents (2.5m x 3.5m maximum size) with a maximum of 4 people per tent. If your group consists of more than 4 people or you have a larger tent, then you will need to book 2 pitches. Please inform us of numbers and tent size at the time of booking, and call us if there are any changes, to avoid disappointment on arrival. We do not want to over crowd out tenting field and we will NOT allow tents to be too close or for the guy ropes to cross over each other (we are required to enforce this by law, and while many sites do not - we do - this is mainly a safety issue but also for noise levels).

Cars can be parked next to each each, but we do not allow vans (of any size), and small camper vans, or folding campers on the field (even if these are not being used for sleeping in), so please only book a tent pitch if you will be travelling in a car, as we do not want to have to refuse you on arrival because you have travelled in a camper or van.

Our whole tenting field can be hired out to groups of families and friends as part of the group booking of the tipis to use for activities or for putting a marquee on. Please give us a call for further details.

We pride ourselves on providing a very tranquil, relaxing and peaceful setting, and for this reason we only allow couples and families, unless the whole site is being hired. Unfortunately we cannot book more than 2 families or firnds togther, as experience has told us that a number of tents togther, unintentionallyspoil it for other guests. 

FULL payment is now required with ALL caravan & tent bookings – we regret having to ask for this, but so many guests have let us down this year by booking a certain number of nights & then arriving & changing their nights, but not wanting to pay for the nights which they originally booked. We have been left with lots of empty nights which we could have filled by guests whom we had previously turned away.
